The SIB100 series are linear and high precision 4 Quadrant Amplifiers for fast signals of voltage and current (bipolar). Additional is the amplifier usable as load unit for energetic recovery operation.
The high bandwidth is the main feature for amplifing fast signals.

Voltage and Current Control

Both voltage and current output signal are controlled by analog inputs +/-10 V. The function is selectable at the front of the Item.

Variable voltage operation

Two selectable ranges enable the applications higher voltage, low current or low voltage, high current.
Output voltage for loads with low impedance can be depressed to 1/3 of maximum voltage. In this way the power loss of the amplifier will be reduced.

Interfaces

Normally the 4 Quadrant Amplifier will be controlled by USB interface. USB is available at the rear side of the item. LAN Interface is also available as an option.
Protection

Different functions are build in to protect the amplifier and the device under test.
Limited output voltage and current. Switching power off when temperature of the linear amplifier has reached the limit value. Protection against short circuit and over voltage by controlling the current and calculating the internal power loss. The amplifier can be switched off by interlock input.

Monitor outputs

At the rearside of the device there are the monitor outputs for the measuring values of voltage and
current. The outputs are 0 - +/-10V equivalent to the max. output voltage and current.

Parallel and serial operation

For reaching higher currents up to 4 amplifiers of the identic series 500 W or 1000 W models can be switched in parallel mode. For this purpose the extension unit 1P2-X is necessary. X is the number of extended units. In serial mode two units will be connected to increase the output voltage.

Outout ON / OFF

The ON/OFF switch on the front side enables Output ON and OFF. Switching off cuts the output
galvanically isolated from the device under test.
